What did this study find?
Nineteen males aged nine to eighteen with high-functioning autism received repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. Older participants showed longer-lasting effects, and the protocol was safe and well tolerated across the group. The sample was very small and uncontrolled, so the study supports tolerability far more strongly than it supports benefit.
