Pulse Magnetic Therapy for Insomnia: Multicenter RCT
Grade A-Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial2023
What did this study find?
A multicenter trial randomly assigned 153 adults with insomnia disorder to four weeks of pulsed magnetic therapy or a sham device. Just under seventy percent of the treated group fell below the clinical threshold for insomnia afterward, against thirty-five percent on sham, and three quarters still held that benefit one week later.

A positive PEMF study is not evidence for a specific device unless the signal parameters studied, frequency, intensity, waveform, and exposure duration, are reasonably comparable to what that device produces. Where this record does not list those parameters, the source report did not publish them. See the grading methodology. Library last reviewed 2026-08-27.
