What did this study find?
This randomized double-blind Mayo Clinic trial treated forty-four adults with metabolic syndrome using pulsed electromagnetic fields. Plasma nitric oxide rose against baseline, and blood pressure improvement was concentrated among participants who were hypertensive at entry. Benefit therefore appears to depend on starting physiology rather than applying evenly across patients.
