Seventy-two patients recovering from cesarean section were randomized to pulsed electromagnetic field treatment or control. The treated group reported less postoperative pain, used fewer analgesics, and had better wound findings at day seven. The trial measured early recovery only and does not speak to longer-term healing outcomes.
